Conversations with my children....

If you've read the about me, you will know that I am expecting our 3rd child this January. My 5 year old daughter is very excited and my 2 year old son, well he doesn't really understand of course. We had our big ultrasound yesterday(baby is great, and we did not find out gender) while Isabella was at school. When I picked her up from school this was the conversation:
Me: We got new pictures of the baby today!
Isabella: (very excited) Oh, Mom, did you get pictures of "her" bottom?
Me: No, Isabella they didn't take pictures of the baby's bottom, why?
Isabella: Because, I NEED to make sure she's a girl!
Me: (laughing) Sorry honey, we didn't find that out you will just have to wait until baby comes out to find out if it's a boy or a girl.
Isabella: I'm disappointed Mom....(a few seconds pass) If you look really close can you tell if "she" has a bow in her hair?
Me: No honey there is no bow in the baby's hair, the baby is naked in there.
Isabella: (giggles) Mom, don't say that!
Me: It's true, babies are naked in there.
Isabella: So, was I naked in there too?
Me: Yes, you were until you came out and I put clothes on you.
Isabella: Well, that is silly, I don't know why God does that.

Oh, you gotta love how their little minds work!

Dog Hair

Okay all you animal lovers...how do you deal with the HAIR?! I love my dogs, but I HATE cleaning hair EVERY DAY! I think my pregnancy cleaning hormones are kicking in and it's driving me mad! I vacuum daily in the mornings, and by dinner time, there it is lying on my kitchen floor a new pile of hairs! Courtesy of my lovely Tip and PJ, who sit smiling at me waiting for their dinner. UGH! I have the furminator...great tool by the way, and though it helps, we still have hair...on the floor, on the couch, on MY BED...thank you very much PJ;) and on our clothes! When I take clothes out of the washer, the dog hair is left behind...G-ROSS! Yes, people I wipe out the hair. Shaving is out of the question, I just wouldn't do that to them LOL, it's almost fall and the shedding has to stop right?! Okay thanks for letting me get that out, any suggestions would be great, but I've had dogs my whole life and this has always been the battle.

Attempt at blogging

So, I actually set up this blog in January and have done nothing with it ;)...I have many friends who blog, so I thought why not give it a go? A little about me: I've been married to my bestfriend for 8 years, we have 2 children Isaebella age 5, and Austin age 2, and are expecting our 3rd baby in January. I've been a SAHM since the birth of my daughter, before that I was a high school English teacher. We have 2 dogs, who are really like fury children for us, and I keep busy taking care of them all;). I love to sew and try to find time to sit down and to that weekly, although it doesn't always happen. Between sewing projects, playdates, school functions, and keeping our home going, I'm actually pretty busy. No sitting around eating bon-bons, as I'm sure some people truly think SAHM's do, LOL!
So here we go on my attempt at blogging thanks for looking and joining me on this journey.
